X-Ray Anatomy
This Privacy Policy explains how Luurankosoft (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the X-Ray Anatomy mobile application (the “App”), a flashcard study tool for learning human skeletal system anatomy. By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Luurankosoft is the developer of the App and is the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@luuranko.net or luuranko.net.
The App saves the following on your device using local storage. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is not linked to your identity:
You can erase all of this at any time from Settings → “Reset all progress”, or by uninstalling the App.
Wiredash also stores random installation IDs on your device (see Section 4b). Unlike the items above, these are sent to Wiredash, and resetting your progress does not remove them.
We do not run our own servers, and there are no accounts, logins, or user profiles. Data leaves your device only through the third-party services listed in Section 4. Of that data, we can see only:
The App includes a small number of third-party services. Each one acts as an independent controller (or our processor) for the data it handles, under its own privacy policy.
| Service | Purpose | Data it may process | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Show & measure ads | Advertising ID (on iPhone and iPad only if you allow tracking), IP address & approximate location, device info, ad interactions | While using the App |
| Wiredash | Usage statistics | Random installation ID, app version, operating system & version, language/locale, IP address | When you open the App (at most once every 30 minutes) |
| Wiredash | Feedback & bug reports | Your message, optional screenshot, optional email address (some versions), app/device metadata | Only when you submit feedback |
We display banner and interstitial ads through Google AdMob, provided by Google, to support the free version of the App. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process:
By default, ads may be personalized. Personalization is subject to your consent: the first time you open the App in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent form (the Google User Messaging Platform) asks whether Google may use your data for personalized ads. If you decline, or where required by law, you are shown non-personalized ads instead. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from Settings → “Ad privacy settings” in the App, which reopens the consent form. You can also manage your choices here:
On iPhone and iPad, the App also shows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt the first time you open it. Google can use your device’s IDFA for ads only if you tap Allow. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the IDFA is not available to the App or to Google; you will still see ads, but they will not use this identifier.
You can also change these choices in your device settings at any time. On Android, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in Settings → Google → Ads. On iPhone and iPad, you can allow or stop tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
The App’s feedback feature is powered by Wiredash, provided by Wiredash GmbH (Germany). Wiredash receives data in two situations.
When you open the App. About five seconds after the App starts, the Wiredash software in the App sends a short usage ping, at most once every 30 minutes. After a new installation, it also records a one-time “first launch” event. These contain:
Like any internet request, the ping also reveals your IP address to Wiredash. We use this data only to count how many installations use the App and which app versions and systems they run. The ping is sent automatically, and the App does not currently offer a setting to turn it off.
When you send feedback. If you choose to submit feedback or a bug report, the submission may include:
Depending on the version of the App you have, the feedback form may include an optional field for your email address. If you fill it in, your email address is sent to Wiredash with your feedback so that we can reply to you; if you leave it empty, we have no way to contact you. The App never asks for your email anywhere else, and feedback is not linked to your name unless you include it in your message. Please do not include sensitive personal information in feedback. See the Wiredash Privacy Policy.
Data is used only to:
We do not sell your data, and we do not profile you beyond the ad personalization performed by Google as described above.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we and our third-party providers rely on:
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except through the third-party services listed in Section 4, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information where required to do so by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.
Our third-party providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including outside the EEA. Where they do, they are responsible for applying appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses), as described in their privacy policies.
On-device data is stored in the App’s private storage area. Data transmitted to third-party services is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is intended for a general audience — primarily students and adults studying anatomy — and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. We will indicate material changes in the App or on luuranko.net.
